**If your character is sick, or has been injured, note the group with the details titling it '[character name] is sick/injured'.  You will be noted back with a Herb Keeper/Mythe to RP with [length included], a time period and possible an art submission to complete to restore your character to full health before it is killed off.  Characters left sick or injured too long will be automatically killed off and their RPer kicked from the group.  You will be giver a due date.**

Medical Plants:


Oregon Grape-
Uses:
Roots-Effective against sore throats, digestion issues and eye infections.
Berries-Edible, eaten at festivals.
Where to Find: Oregon Grape can be found in fir forest and brushlands.

Yarrow-
Uses:
Leaves-Very useful.  Rubbed to release juices they’re good insect repellent, also stops bleeding.  Relieves toothache, sore gums, headache and fever.
Where to Find: Grows in any well-drained soil that gets full sun.

Oak-
Uses:
Bark-Green bark can be chewed and rubbed to relieve wounds, burns, skin irritations and fungal infections.
Acorns-Eaten during festivals.
Buds-Important food in the Air of Hidden Sun.
Where to Find: Most forests.

Hound’s Tongue-
Uses:
Leaves-Good for treating closed wounds, sprains and fractures.
Where to Find: Just about anywhere.

Usnea-
Uses:
Lichen-Good for dressing wounds.
Lichen-Important food source for the Air of Hidden Sun.
Where to Find: Found growing on trees so in the forests.

Mullein-
Uses:
Leaves-Good for headaches and any respiratory conditions.
Where to Find: Dry, dusty and sandy soil.  Likes disturbed soil but grows almost anywhere save deep forest.

Cattail-
Uses:
Gel-Heals any skin or fur problems.
The whole plant is an important food source Quest-round.
Where to Find: Cattail can be found in marshes.

Aspen-
Uses:
White Powder-Sunscreen
Where to Find: Deciduous forests.

Cottonwood-
Uses:
Inner Bark-Chewed for pain relief.
Buds-Chew for frostbite cure.
Where to Find: Bordering streams.

Arnica-
Uses:
Leaves-Painkillers for sprains and fractures.  Rub on, do not eat!
Where to Find: Various high altitude locations.

Burdock-
Uses:
Roots-Treats sores and stomach problems.  Antidote for poisonous food!
Seed-Treats stiff joints or joint inflammation.
Leaves-Antidote for poison-oak and poison-ivy.
Where to Find: Grows in fields and waste lands.

Coltsfoot-
Uses:
Leaves-Cough Suppressant.  Also good for insect bites and arthritic pain.
Where to Find: found on stream banks, in swamps and wet tundra.

Comfrey-
Uses:
Plant-Cures high liver toxic levels and bone breaks.
Where to Find: Just about anywhere.

Skullcap-
Uses:
Plant-Tonic for nerves, anxiety and stress.  Also helps high blood pressure.
Where to Find: Rich woods and moist soils.

Red Alder-
Uses:
Bark-Taken to cure and prevent tumors.
Where to Find: Light forests.

Bee Balm-
Uses:
Leaves-Treats mouth and throat infections.
Where to Find: Mild to moderately moist meadows, forest clearings and hillsides.

Bugleweed-
Uses:
Leaves-Excellent cough reliever.
Where to Find: Stream banks and marshes.

Illnesses:



Bone Bite
Gripping stiff joints and restricted movement.  Seen in cold, damp weather.
Cures: Burdock, Cottonwood, Coltsfoot and Cattail

Fur Fall
Caused by dry weather, fur falls out at an alarming rate.
Cures: Oak

Blaze
Soaring temperatures and exhaustion.
Cures: Yarrow

Knotted Stomach
Stomach cramps, pain and aching.  Restricted movement.
Cures: Mixture of Cottonwood and Oregon Grape

Ice Cough
Strength draining respiratory illness that attacks the lungs.
Cures: Mullein, Bugleweed when not available

Crow Skull
Intense head pain.  Like thousands of crows are cawing within your skull, near impossible to concentrate.
Cures: Yarrow, Cottonwood and Mullein

Dotted Jaw
A mouth and throat infection where small sores cover the inside of the mouth.  Very painful, especially when treated.
Cures: Bee balm, Cottonwood and Oregon Grape
